Trees, they’re everywhere. We see them on our way to work. We see them in our own backyard. We see them at our neighborhood park, but do we ever actually take the time to look at them? I ask you today to take time to look at a tree. Yes, any tree will do, just pick a tree and look at it. When you look at that tree, I want you to think about how it grows, and it gives life to so many other creatures, animals birds that may live in the tree or use the tree for a shelter or protection against a predator, or how about the fact that they give oxygen for us to breathe? Trees that shoot spores out to create more life. Now think about you as a tree. Are you imagining yourself as a tree? Good. You’re a good looking tree! Your roots are founded in Jesus and the word of the Lord. When people look at you did they see you giving life to all Other living things around you sheltering those in need feeding the hungry being open to new life and to reflect God and the love of Jesus that you received from the Eucharist into your heart and project that out to others as the tree shoots out at spores to create new life? Do you make the world a better place as the tree does? How can you be more like a tree today? Maybe that means you blend in and you don’t stand out as much and you’re being humble and not making things all about you and you just blending in the forest, while really no one sees that you’re giving so much life to other organisms around you? or are you a brightly colored tree that stands out Displays beauty of God‘s creation to the world do you display the beauty of God’s love that’s inside you to the world? Be the tree.
My favorite childhood book is the "STORY OF THE THREE TREES" Please read it. One tree wants to become a treasure box that holds great treasure, fast forward in the story, he becomes the manger that held Christ. The next tree wanteed to be a ship that held kings. Fast forward in the story and he becomes a humble fishing boat that carried not just smelly fish but also the King of the universe. The final tree wanted nothing more than to stand staight and tall atop the hill pointing people to God. That tree became the cross that pointed the world to God.
(Sometimes What we want for our lives, God gives us but in His way which is far greater than what we originally thought we wanted.
Lets all be who God is calling us to be today and make a difference in this world by spreading the Love of Jesus with the World, Giving Life to All.
BIBLE QUOTE: HE IS LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY STREAMS OF WATER,WHICH YIELDS ITS FRUIT IN SEASON AND WHOSE LEAF DOES NOT WITHER. WHATEVER HE DOES PROSPERS.
BIBLE QUOTE:
PLANTED IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD THEY WILL FLOURISH IN THE COURTS OF OUR GOD THEY WILL STILL BEAR FRUIT IN OLD AGE. THEY WILLL STAY FRESH AND GREEN. PROCLAIMING THE LORD IS UPRIGHT HE IS MY ROCK AND THERE IS NO WICKEDNESS IN HIM.
