Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love is everlasting.
This is a Psalm that I sang at church one day and it made me think about how sometimes we turn to God when we are desperate and needing help, or asking something of Him, but do we thank Him and rejoice in His kindness and goodness to us more than we complain and ask for things? God I need this, please help with this situation, etc...
Next time God answers a prayer try saying Thank you Lord for giving me this gift or Thank You Lord for not answering my prayer so that I could see the better thing you had waiting for me or even next time you get out of bed why not Thank God for that day for the people you interact with, even for the little things like air, the beautiful world He created, His Big sacrifice of sending His son to suffer and die for us (that's something to be grateful for).
We can thank Him by thanking those around us and being appreciative to those who do small things or even big things for us.
One of my favorite saints, Saint Faustina would Thank God for the sisters in the convent who annoyed or bugged her, because they helped her grow in virtue and patience, becoming more like Jesus.
Thank Jesus for the good and the bad, for your family, your health, your friends, and even the trials and sufferings in life because those things you can offer those things up to God for the sake of the souls in purgatory. Be Grateful in all you do.
I find myself complaining but later tell myself or someone will tell me, Don't look for issues, look for blessings that you can that God for. Happy Thanksgiving
I'm Thankful for you! Thank you.
