Matthew 24:44, which says, "So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect".
I sing for all the funerals and weddings at our church and unfortunely there are a lot of funerals but on the other hand, there are more people going home to be with Jesus. Father Brian at our church said once that a young girl asked if we are from god and go to God, what's the in betweenn stuff for? Hmm good question.
Saint Therese says “The world thy ship and not our home”
What are we doing with the time we have left in this world? Jesus is coming soon & we never know when He’s calling us home. How are we preparing for heaven?
I call this my Journey to Jesus & getting others there too (we all are called to do this use our gifts for Him & to bring others to Him)
I want to share my original music & hymns with more of the world, but the thing that I want the world to know that made me the happiest more happy than singing on any big stage is singing for mass as a churchcantor singing for Jesus! I'm already doing the greatest thing I could think of. I want to go out & sing on those big stages so l can bring more people into that little church in front of the greatest person of all.
I feel like I’m in training here on earth as a singer to sing for Jesus someday on the greatest stage but I'd be equally happy singing simply just as a mere spec on the ground for our Lord. No matter what, I just want to sing praise to our Lord.To me it’s like going to voice lessons as a small kid and being so excited to come home and have a big bedroom concert for my parents and stuffed animals. That was a big thing for me back then when I was a kid and I’m very blessed to be singing on actual stages and most importantly at the most important place, church as a church cantor. I have been training (just like when I was taking lessons) training by using my gifts for Jesus here on earth, by singing His praises (Christian music shows), and sharing His good words and messages with all of His people here on earth through song(cantoring at church) so that I’ll be ready someday and that they will be ready too so that we all can use our gifts to (have that big bedroom concert when we get home but someplace far better) praise Him when we get home. As a kid I got so excited to show my parents sooo many things look at this toad I found in the yard, look at this song I made, etc (I still get excited to show my parents things. Most of us enjoy showing the people we love things that we’ve done that are good that we want them to be proud of) Mom,Dad Look what I Did!!! (but as adults we know now we aren't living to impress this world, but the next. Why not come to the Father, and to Mother Mary saying Mom, Dad, Jesus, Look what I did?
We shouldn’t brag to people about what we are doing on earth, we should do our good deeds in silence when we can but we also should inspire others by our good deeds to go out and do them theirselves as well. Sometimes our talents are more loud and require some of the spotlight, (social media, advertising, music,tv careers,etc...) however, that is when we must become mirrors so we can direct that light to shine toward the real star of the show, Jesus. Let’s all get that excited (as little kids do) to go to heaven to show Jesus what we’ve been doing here on earth, just like as kids we get so excited to show parents what we’ve learned or accomplished! Hey Father, Hey Mother, Hey Jesus, Guess what?!
This psalm offers a prayer for God's approval, asking, "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer". It expresses a desire for one's entire being—thoughts, words, and actions—to be acceptable to God.
