LITTLE INTRO: Hello & Welcome. I’m Elizabeth and welcome to my new blog. I’m a singer songwriter but I feel called to speak out more about our faith. This blog will contain a mix of Catholic News, some educational blog posts for new Catholics, as well as I’ll also be posting brief reflections based on Catholic beliefs, Sunday sermons, Catholic music, Bible quotes, ways we can do God’s will and be better Catholics, and more. Blog Article 1 Do we Love them? Hi I’m Elizabeth it’s nice to meet you. I hope you’re doing well today. How often do we say those phrases in our daily lives? Do we actually mean them? As Catholics, we believe that God is Love and that we are made in the image of God. That means we are all made with that same Love of God. Jesus tells us to Love one another as He has loved us and from His great sacrifice to save us from our sins, we know that’s a lot. Do we really follow that Golden rule? Do we Love “Everyone”? Or are there people we find difficult to love? Do we really hope everyone is doing well? On May the 4th, everyone was saying May the 4th be with you because it is considered Star Wars Day to some fans. Now it is a good movie but that day and that statement got me thinking and I told this to my priest friend. What if we all said “May the Faith be with you” to everyone we met? Our faith in Christ is the most powerful beautiful thing that gets us through everyday making us better people so What if we wished the faith on everyone and actually meant it? Not a “well bless your heart” kinda statement when really you don’t wanna say what you actually think of those ladies talking annoyingly loudly in the back of the church before mass every Sunday. Guess what? God loves them too! The person that cut you off in traffic? Yep, He loves them as well. Like we've never messed up? What would the world be like if we recognized our own faults and realized others aren’t perfect too? They sin as well, but do we love them? Can we love them as God loves them and loves us? Jesus was so quick to forgive those who Killed Him. (BIBLE QUOTE:"Father forgive them" LUKE 23:34) If we are called to be like Jesus, do we Love each other as much as that ^? The Golden Rule- LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU" I have a song called “That Love” that is about God’s great love for us and how we are all made in the image of God, so we too are called to go out joyfully and Love Others as Jesus So Very Much Loved Us! Thank you and May The Faith Be With You. @elizabethchasemusic |
