Still Rolling...

Lazarus COME OUT!!!

Recently my husband and I attended mass at a beautiful church in West Virginia called St James the Greater. The Gospel was about Lazarus. The Homily that the priest gave was about how we all have stones that Jesus rolls away for us and calls us all to come out from those graves. I wanted to talk about that today.

"Lazarus Come Out!"

Now First, think about a sin you're struggling with,

next, picture that’s your name there, and Jesus is saying to you:

"_____ come out!!!"

(From your grave of sin or whatever is keeping you from God)

Jesus is waiting for you.

He already saved you from sin through His death & resurrection,

and you confessed your sins at confession, 

Now Jesus is waiting outside your tomb, the stone is rolled away

and you are on your way out to him;

So why would you waste any time looking back or hanging out in the empty dark stinky tomb of sin!? Are we sometimes stuck dwelling on our past sinful behavior? or ae we ready to go joyfully running into the graceful merciful arms of our Savior ? Instead of focusing on the past worrying we cannot change, instead just do the next right thing. The Disney movie Frozen 2 has a good song "The Next Right Thing". After the character Anna went through losing someone she loves and doesn't know how to go on again she sings about how all she can do is the Next Right Thing. Thats all Jesus asks of us. To move forward trying to do His will.

So don't look back in the grave of your past sin that Jesus already saved you from!

Go out ! Run to Christ & thank him for what He has done for you!
