Jesus Wept

I found this is a great way to not go back to a sin. Remember to picture Jesus weeping because He is. Every time you fall into sin He weeps. He weeps because He died to save you from that exact sin that He knew you would fall into even tho He showed you the way to go but you didn’t choose to even be open to seeing it. I’ve been there before. We all have. We’re all sinners working to become saints!
Now picture that person you person about to gossip about (that’s a child of God btw) or that person you wanted to judge or maybe that person you hurt by being so selfish and choosing to only do things for yourself , whatever the sin may be think of that sin you fall into and picture Jesus weeping because of it. Because He loves you so much and He knows He made you better than that sin. He equipped you with the power to overcome it! The gifts & fruitd of the Holy Spirit! Call upon Him!
When we work to become more virtuous people and ask God for the grace to no longer want sin but to want what He gives us because we know its good, then He grants that prayer. We then instead of feeling happy, we feel such disgust at such sins! We aren’t alone in this! The saints were the same way! St Augustine for example lived a life of sin and kept telling God , “I’d like to become a saint but not today”
Eventually His mother “St Monica prayed for her son enough that He had a change of heart and committed to a full change and a life for God. He struggled with sin and he’s a saint! St Josemaria said “ a Saint is a sinner who kept trying!” Which is good news for all of us silly fools trying to become sinners.
Now imagine you just did a good deed for someone. It makes you feel happy inside (that’s a sign of becoming more virtuous ! ) but also think about Jesus’s expression on His face now compared to Him Weeping at your sinfulness.
Is He smiling gently joyfully arms open perhaps to give you a warm embrace?
I think occasionally of Jesus weeping and it pains me so much it hurts and makes me cry as well to think that I could make my Lord cry. I’d feel so ashamed whenever I sin even if it’s the smallest of sin it wounds my Lord and drives the nails deeper into His Holy flesh ! How dare I ?! How could I what’s wrong with me I may say to myself drowning in guilt at times until racing to confession to be made clean and to apologize and do penance for my sins.
Seeing an image of our Lord & Savior in tears…
What do you think?
I know I think to myself,
I’d rather Die than to sin against My Lord Jesus Christ! I’d never want to make Him weep, yet He weeps so often alongside our blessed Mother Mary at the sight of so many sinners.
What is sin?-Sin weighs us down and hurts us more it’s temporary searching for something that we only find in Christ (the devil tricks us into thinking that it can be found in other things) but He gave us the gift of the sacrament of reconciliation ! After confession, we are freed from our sin completely washed new by His Precious Blood & made new!
(It is the Precious Blood of Jesus Month,
By His Blood, we are washed clean of our sins. )
Sometimes I wonder
Why look anywhere but the cross unless you are looking at those that you love?
If you look away from the crucifix, no matter what person you see in the whole world, that person better be so loved in the same way you love the one on the Crucifix.
We are called to be servants. Let’s go out and Serve others.
It kills me to think of Jesus weeping. I never want to see that. I must go out and do something about it. I must convert sinners and transform souls including my own! I love going out singing His praising. I wish I could do it more in more places. I would love to but whatever the Lord’s will is for my life wherever He takes me is where I will go follow. I want to do what He asks of me. I want to use the gifts He gave me to spread His goodness with the world through songs, words, & actions!
“Little deeds can make a big difference”
-Little Deeds (my 2025 song based on St Therese’s Little Way)
We may have our own crosses to carry along the way but sin drags us like heavy bags of stones to hell, while carrying our crosses and offering them up for others, sacrificing & performing acts of great love while on earth, give us wings to fly up to the beautiful eternal life Jesus prepared for us in heaven with the saints & angels.
Christ even taught us,
“My yoke is easy and my burden is light”
