Bitter & Sweet
The love of Jesus is so sweet to us.
Sweet like one of my favorite things, Chocolate!
However some chocolates in order to be so good (like dark chocolate for example) have a slight bitterness to them. We still love dark chocolate though! Similarly, Jesus’s passion. He had to drink the bitter cup to grant us the sweet gift of eternal life in heaven with Him and the joy of having the chance of forgiveness from our sins. We too must sometimes drink the bitter cup or the bitter chocolate bar in life to get to its sweetness and good taste. Meaning we sometimes carry difficult crosses in tear of saying this is too much and complaining about it and giving it up to instead do something easier. We must embrace the sufferings given to us in life. Offer them up for the souls most in need, for our families, friends, and intentions, to help us grow in virtues , away from vices, closer to the way of a saint and further from lukewarmness, offer up a small act of love or something that you don’t want to do for the souls deep in sin away from Christ right now or for the conversion of those away from the faith even those in your own family. If you do these things as Jesus accepted His cross for you then the cross He gives you will lead you straight to Him.
